My name is Jeremy Gale, and I’ve worked as a software developer for 7 years now. I used to work at Google before deciding to move back home to Canada to live in the same city as my girlfriend (now my wife). At my last full time job, I was working as the Technical Lead for Mobile Development. My company was making an iPhone, iPad and Android app for medical imaging – allowing doctors to look at CT scans or MRIs on their smart phones. It was interesting, rewarding work but I longed to have more influence on the product. On the side, I was working on my own projects at home and loving the passion and energy that I felt. I wanted to build my own apps, and build apps for other people.
I decided to leave my comfortable full-time job and start my own company, Force Grind Inc. Starting your own company can be pretty intimidating; there is a lot to learn. I’m attempting to document what I’ve learned via my blog.
I’ve always been a Mac guy, so I’m sticking with my passion – iPhone and Mac development. I develop apps on contract for clients as well as my own apps. If you are interested in having an app developed, please contact me.
